When is my reservation confirmed?
Your reservation is confirmed once the down payment is received. To verify, check your email to make sure you got a booking confirmation email.
What happens to my deposit?
Your deposit will be refunded within 5 working days after your departure, minus any charges for damages or the consumption of water and electricity (if applicable).
How do I pay with European bank?
Please contact us to arrange such payment. Due to payment provider policies on Curaçao we cannot currently offer iDeal and other EU payments directly on our website.
We're actively working on a solution, so we hope to offer this on our website soon.
What information will I receive before arrival?
One week before your arrival, we’ll send you detailed directions and arrival instructions.
Currency and Payment on Curaçao
What is the local currency?
The local currency is the Caribbean Guilder (XCG), since March 31st 2025. It has replaced the NAF, which will no longer be accepted by stores from June 31st.
Can I use credit or debit cards?
Yes, cards are widely accepted. Ensure your card is set for worldwide usage.
Can I use cash?
- US Dollars: Accepted at the fixed rate of 1 USD = 1.75 XCG. Large bills might get declined at certain stores.
- Euros: Not accepted as cash.
We recommend withdrawing local currency (XCG) upon arrival for small purchases like sunbeds at the beach.
Where can I find ATMs?
ATMs are available all over the island like at the airport, supermarkets, and banks.
Water and Electricity Usage
Are water and electricity included in the rates?
To keep night rates affordable, water and electricity usage are charged separately.
How much do guests typically use?
- Water: Average usage for two guests per week is 2m³ (€18).
- Electricity: Average usage for two guests per week is 140 kWh (€56).
Usage depends on air conditioner use and other factors.
Children’s Items
Do you provide baby and children’s equipment?
Yes, we offer cots (with bedding) for babies and children up to 4 years old, as well as high chairs, for a small additional fee. Please select this option when selecting the dates.

General Information
What about electrical outlets?
- Most locations have 110V and 220V outlets.
- If only 220V is available, we provide adapters.
Is tap water safe to drink?
Yes, tap water is safe and tastes great.
Any tips for grocery shopping?
- We recommend Centrum Supermarket, Carrefour and Van Den Tweel.
- At supermarkets, staff can pack your groceries and place them in your car. A small tip (a few guilders) is suggested.
What about mosquitoes?
- Local supermarkets sell effective repellents, such as “Off.”
- For allergic reactions, cortisone creams are available at pharmacies (called "botikas").
- A good tip is to use the ceiling fan (located at many of our locations) to keep mosquitos away.
Do I need vaccinations?
No vaccinations are required for travel to Curaçao. Dengue vaccine is recommended, especially during rainy periods.
Transportation
Should I rent a car?
Yes, renting a car is highly recommended to explore the island.
- Taxis are expensive.
- Schedules and stops are hard to find.
- Public transport does not service resorts.
